Youth outdistanced all opposition at yes terday's senatorial primary. Robert M. La Folette, Jr., just Inside the constitutional are limit, swept everything before him, carrying all but eight of the seventy-one coun ties in the state, and received the republican nomination for the United States senate. With but 369 precincts missing out of a to tal of 2.269 in the state. La Follette had 163,584; Wilcox 72,996; Wood ward 37,227; McGovern If .866. The ' same number of precincts gave Hruce, democrat, 6.347; Rogers, democrat 107, and Work, socialist, 6,630. The vote today represented somewhat less than half the voting strength of the state, slightly more than 300,000 going to the polls, but those who did registered in no un certain manner their desire to re- tain La Follette In Wisconsin. Young Bob won a majority of 29, 445 over his three opponents and a plurality of 83.488 with his near est opponent. Roy P. Wilcox, of Eau Claire, the Coolldge republi tan candidate. Wilcox did not win the run ex pected of him by his supporters, carrying only B counties. Daniel Woodward of Kaukauna, running with the endorsement of the Ku Klux Klan. was the surprise can didate, finishing third, carrying three counties. The others physician consulted.
