Statnton was hostess Thursday, when she en tertained the members of the mis sionary committee of the Inter mediate Endeavor Society of the Christian Church at a picnic. ' The guests went to the Boy Scout Grunds. Maple Grove, where they spent the afternoon In baseball, horseshoe throwing and other sports. In the evening a picnic dinner was spresd tn the grove. Marksbury Fashion Show Heralds Fall Styles A fitting herald of Ml stylet was the fashion show given Thursday and Friday evenings at the Marks burg store, when some of Rose burg's attractive girls modeled the many new creations that will be a feature of autumn. The show, sponsored by Mr. Marksbury, owner of the Marks bury chain stores, and Mrs. Alma Harness, manager of the Roseburg store, was enthusiastically greeted by Roseburg people, and drew a large crowd.
