pledge, "Most Miles per Dol

record of service to car owners.
Firestone factories have
grown from a small building
approximately 75 x 150 feet
to mammoth plants having
floor area of over 60 acres
from a capital of $5 0,000 to over
$50,000,000 from an annual
sales volume of $100,000 to
over $100,000,000 all in the
short period of 25 years.

This Firestone record could
only have been made through
furnishing the public with
outstanding values and is,
consequently, your assur
ance of quality and' lowest
prices.
If you would like to know
more of this wonderful record,
ask your Firestone dealer to
send you an illustrated folder.
With today's high cost of
crude rubber and other raw
materials, Firestone's oppor
tunity to serve the public was
never better, due to its great
volume and special advanta
ges in buying, manufacturing
and distribution.

Improvement in business and
trade in the Twelfth Federal Re
serve District, first noted during
June, continued during July, and
general business activity during
the latter month was near the
highest level of the year. The
prospect of satisfactory yields of
the district' principal crops, and
favorable market conditions for
crops and livestock were impor
tant factors in the maintenance
of trade volume during the
month. Industrial activity In
creased seasonally during July
and, as la the previous month,
was above the level of a year
ago. Gains in Industrial employ

of the district during July, 1926.
as compared with July, 1924.
:The volume of credit extended by

July, 1924, and exceeded by 3.8
per cent the previous record fi
gures for July reported In 1923.
The July, 1825, figures wero 16.1
pen cent smaller than simllur fi
gures for June, 1925. The norm
al seasonal decrease from June to
July has been estimated to be
approximately 2 per cent.
Lumber production at reporting
mills of four associations in the
district was 6.4 per cent smaller
In volume during July than dur
ing June, the decrease "being the
result, chiefly, of the enstomary
curtailment of lumbering opera
tions during the first two weeks
of July. Output of reporting
mills was smaller than either
sules or shipments', which also de
creased slightly during July, and
unfilled orders were larger, and
stocks at producing centers smal
ler, at the close of the month
thnn at Its beginning. Average
daily production of petroleum ia
California increased by 2.4 per
cent during July, 1925, as com

ated average dally consumption.
