f FOUR ROSEBURG NEWS-REVIEW, THURSDAY, AUGUST 13. 1925. If you spent 60 days straight at the kitchen stove I CALIFORNIA OREGON 1 fOWER COMPANY J m YUUK PAIUNfcgS IN flUJURfcSS you'd see why It is that nearly eighteen hundred homes with in reach of the Copco lines are now using electric ranges. Two hours a day, every day in the year, is probably a low estimate of a housewife's time in the kitchen. Sixty full days, in all and they're worth making easier! Electrical cooking is easier, and cleaner. It puts an end to dirt and ashes. It means less sweeping of floors, less cleaning of walls, cleaner utensils. Electrical cooking is tastier. Uniform, controllable heat saves the flavor of dainty foods. Electrical cooking is economical sur prisingly so. The average cost of electri city for cooking is only about twice the cost of the electric lighting current in the same home. (Actual average figures for your own neighborhood will be shown you upon request.) . Don't pass the next display of electric ranges without just dropping in and ask ing your dealer more about them and about the convenient payment terms he is offering. Her present vehicle la the first in which she has ap peared in a long time that did not give her a crook role for inter pretation, and she seems to have gained new inspiration from the picturesque character, i Certainly she has never given a more finish ed dramatic performance. Power, pathos and passion light up her characterization in such a way as to make it one of the outstanding performances of the year. The story deals with the patriotic fer vor of a girl, leader of a band of "Carbonari" who have revolted from the villainous rule of the Al calde of Manzilla, at the foot of the Pyrunees. Mixed up in the swift action of the plot is a young American millionaire who. is kid napped from his yacht and shaken out of his habitual boredom. The Ihwmh have been leveled and bor dered with a gorgeous display of flowers, which Rio so planted that their blooms afford a delightful coloring from early spring until late fall. At tho present time the flowers are at their best and the yard is a beauty spot, which per hups has few equais in the state. Nor are the higher priced oils necessarily the best. For examples There isn't a better motor oil in the world than Aristo Motor Oil. It is refined in Cali fornia, from selected west era crude. Because of volume pro duction, and low freight rates, ir easily under-sclls the eastern oils. Some people think that the higher price means a better oil. Nothing could be farther from the truth. Aristo, as an instance, is made without regard for cost with concern only for quality. And it couldn't be a better lubricant if you paid twice as much for it. . Aristo combats the for mation of carbon. It is an unexcelled lubricant. Its saving is thus in service as well as price.
