A d tour was ar- j ranged by way or the Chenowelh cutoff, rour miles north of Oak i land, then over the t loot I rich high 'way by way of Cole hill, and i through old Oakland back to the highway. The detour was five miles In length and was over a very bad mail. It also cut motorists out of four miles of paved road. The county court objected to such a long dangerous detour, when the work being done blocked only about ISO yards of the high way, with plenty of room for a tem porary detour around. As a result of the remonstrance cars are b' ing h I lowed through to day, and a good detour will prob ably be provided through the ad joining field the first of the week LOST -On court house lawn, pair gloves, black with white stripes on back Reward for return to .
