Cartridge Company. Mr. Peret
gave an excellent exhibition, shoot
ing two different sh)t guns, a 30

ers, and two .22 rifles. He broke
flying targets drew pictures, shot

ing of the committee of the
Chamber of Commerce which Is
making arrangements for the home
and land products show to be held
on September 24, 25 and 2i. The
Glide community fair is to be held
on September 23, and Mr. Alex

from Governor Walter M. Pierce,
State Market Agent C. E. Spence,
and C. J. Hurd. of the .extension
department of the Oregon Agri
cultural College, to be present and

10 NEW FIRES IN CASCADES:
ONE CAMPER IS ARRESTED
EITGFNE. Ore.. July 31. Ten
fortst fires have been reported In
the Cascade forest within the past
ten days, according to the report
issued today by Ntison F. Mac
Huff, supervisor.
Four of the fires were started by
lightning and six were man
caused. Alfred Sorensn, employe of the
bureau of public roads, will be ar
rested cn charges of leaving his
camp fire burning, according to a
comp'alnt sworn out today. The
fire was left In the Cascade Na
tional Forest bounds.
