el to Crater Lake for the first half
of July was eight per cent heavier
than last year, when a new record
was established, and the Medford
entrance Is leading the Klamath
entrance by a large majority, ac
cording to a report Issued today by
Superintendent C. O. Thomson.
Mr. Thomson also states that 20
per cent of the women going to the
lake this year are unescorted,
which he considers an unusual fea
ture. To July 17, 6.3S5 cars had
entered the park containing 18,391
people. This total is less than the
Presbyterian synod of Oregon will t total last year on the same date.
