state chamber of commerce, the
Hospitality clubs decided to visit

a caravan of 200 automobiles, which
will travel as far south as Sanj
Francisco and return by way of
the Redwoods highway. Enroutej

Stockton, Sacramento and a num
ber of other California cities. '
It also was decided to accept the

Considerable excitement wa3
caused last Friday afternoon,
when the fire alurm railed the
volunteer fire department and all

been kindled in the fire place of

kindling had been drawn up the
flue, fan ins onto tha roof and

fire was noticed by neighbors who
gave the alarm. Mrs. Parks and
her sinter carried water to the
attic and extinguished the flames
on the inside whir? the city's
chemical made a quick run to the
scene and put it out on tho roof.
