Painful Injury to Iknn'brnke J. K. Bonebrakv, who resides on one of the Curry plats In Gar den Valley, received a very pain ful injury early this morning, when a pitchfork tine entered his left thigh. Mr. Bonebrake was at work, and started to climb to tire seat of a wagon, when the tine, which lay ncross the seat, entered the thigh. He came to this city, when Dr. George E. Houck at tended him. While the injury Is a painful one,, it is thought that it will not be perlous. Chadwlck, president of the Stage Terminal Hotel company, stopped over In this city last night, enroute to his home In Salem. Marsters and daugh ters arrived from Salem last night, joining Mr. Marsters, who has been In this city for several weeks. To Leave For Oregon City Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Page, of this city, plan to leave the first of next week for Oregon City, where they will attend the O. A. R. reunion. He is with the Union Savings and Loan Association. Moving Away Henry Wolpers has relinquished the ranch a short distance beyond the foot of East Douglas street which he acquired of A. J. "Worley eight months ago, and will leave next Monday with his family for Sponkane, Wash., there former place of residence, where they plan to locate again. Miss Bates Leaving. Miss WInnlfred Hates, who has' been visiting here for the past few days after returning frdm Los An geles, left this afternoon for Seat tle w here she will join her parents, and expects to reside there per manently. Leave for Salem. Mr. and Mrs. W. A. Cummlngs and son of this city, left this morn ing by auto for Salem. All Stages at Terminal. Though a new schedule, going Into effect Monday, the Pickwick stages bow Btop at the Terminal hotels. Two new express stages have been put In, running from San Francisco to Portland, with a two day and three-day schedule. One leaving Portland at 7 a. m. arrives at San Francisco the following day at 0:50 p. m. The one leaving Portland at 1 p. m. arrives at San Francisco the following day at 5:05 p. ni. quire fully three weeks to handle the crop. After they are disposed of the cannery will have a few short runs on blackberries and will then be closed down until August when the fruit season will atart with pears, running through steadily un til the last of the year on prunes and apples. Kleist of the Brock way district, who came Into town this morning with the fruit, which Is known as the Karly May flower variety. Paving of both entrances to Crater Lake National Park will atart July 1, according to announce ment made here today by William E. Arnold, auperlntendent of the Warren Construction company, whose firm waa awarded the con tract. The work will approximate 20 miles and will cost In the neigh borhood or 1260.000. Park officials will provide good detours for auto tourists during the time the paving Is In progress and these will be only for short stretches. FISHING CASE IS UNDER ADVISEMENT The case of Irving and Vernon Davis and Ben Datey, who were tried yesterday In the local justice court charged with Illegal fishing at Winchester, was taken under advisement by Judge Jones, fol lowing the Introduction of evidence and the arguments of the attorneys. The boys were arrested at Win chester, and ordered to appear In the Roseburg court, but went to the Wilbur justice court instead, paying fines of J25 each.
