race here today.
Milton came in to chance
both rear tlrea at 215 miles. t

the lead. After one fust lap,
Cooper's left rear tire gave
way and .he left the track.
In a masterful drive against
Peter De Paolo, who had
slipped into the read, Milton
went to the front by a scant
few feet. Harry Harts waa
third and Frank Elliott 4th.
Just as the race waa fin-
lahed. Wade Morton's racer
crashed into the fence on the
hack stretch. The crowd
cheered when Morton crawl-
ed from under the car, aa it
hung on the rail and waved
his arms.
Milton's time was two hours
ten minutes 21.4$ seconds.

Morton Hartley Coming
C. L. Hadley received a wire

ton, stating that he will leave
New York City the first of July
to take over the western terri
tory for the Eastmun Company,
as factory representative. He will
he engngpd exclusively in inspec
tion work on the company's x-ray
and labratory equipment, and will
have the territory of Oregon,
Washington. Montana and Idaho.
He will probably make bis head;
quarters in Roseburg.
