Mrs. McCllntock and Mrs. Shep herd were schoolday friend In Kansas. Reicbmann stated that Mrs. Shepherd had no knowledge of Mrs. McCllntock'a will until be Informed her of It a short time after her friend's death. He, It was, he said, who suggested that Mrs. Shepherd take charge of the Mc Cllntock home and he made an ar rangement for ber to "get some ready cash". Reich mann Insisted he thought he should have been compensated for helping take care of the Mc Cllntock boy, although he did not "wash his facce, comb hi hair and feed blm". . Mrs. Shrpherd got a personal al lowance of $75 a month and $400, later Increased to $700 a month for expense of the McCllntock household. Much of Reichmann's testimony dealt with stories of difficulties with the Shepherds threshed out In the probate court over guardian ship of young McCllntock. Billy McClintock's fatal Illness followed a delayed diagnosis, first being regarded as an Intestinal disorder and was attributed to a then prevalent epidemic of typhoid ffver caused by consumption of contaminated oysters, Pr. RufuB, Stolp, one of the two physicians who attended the youth, testified today. Called as the state's third wit ness, tbe doctor proved to have testimony regarded as so favorable to the defense that Attorney Stew art sought to have him recalled as a defense witness.
