-With the Right Oil
What is the right oil? Not
a matter of opinion, nor of
price. But one of selected
crude, modern facilities, and
careful refining.
An example of this is
Aristo Motor Oil. It is
made with quality as the
only consideration. Yet
its price is almost half that
of eastern oils.
The reason for this is
simple: Aristo does not
- carry excessive freight
costs from the east. It is
refined in California, from
western crude of select
quality. And it benefits
by volume production.
Aristo combats the for
mation of carbon. It is an
unexcelled lubricant.
If, in fact, a better -lubricant
were possible re
gardless of price it would
be made by the Union Oil
Company of California.
Aristo is sold wherever
you see the Union Oil
sl;n. At Union Oil ser
vice stations, and at in
dependent dealers of the
first class everywhere.

Flag To Be Cremated
The American Legion at last
night's meeting turned their old
and badly turn silk flag to the FJoy
Scouts of Koseburg for cremation.
This will b done In public cere
mony some time In the near future.
It Is not that the Scouts are proud
to cremate our National Flag that
we want to do it in public but ra
ther that there Is a need for edu
cating a large percentage of the
public ki the matter of disposing of
a flag which should no longer be
displayed as such. Scouts do not
take it as being forced to respect
the flag but rather as a privilege
Adults, too are showing more res
pect than has been done in the
past.

In the very first chapter of the
boys' handbook is stated that one
of the alms of the Scout Movement
Is to promote the ability In bqys
to do things for themselves and
others.
What Is your ability to do things
for yourself and others? Do you
have to rely on your scoutmaster
or patrol leader to work out your
progress ? How long have you
been a scout of your present rank?
How long is it going to take you
to get out of It? It Is all up to

New Fabrics
For Summer Wear
Summer fashions are dependent upon fabrics for
smartness, and one understands the reason, after
viewing these new silks and cottons.
Soft and fine as to weave, divertingly lovely as to
pattern and delightfully colorful to suit summer '
fancies, they , are absolutely irresistible. Chiffon
is one of the favored silks, obtainable in every shade
of the new colors.

Now the open air season in that

bantamweight champion of the

as one of the principals.
And the other was not Tremaine,

tiio.-e same fans who bought tickets
to see IVte the Smiler massacred
last time are buying tickets now to
see him lick Rosenberg the champ.
The pair meet at the lloorklyn
arena June 5.
Sarmiento Is figured to give
KoM-nherg a tough battle. For
one thing, -Rosenberg will bo out
pointed If he takes the defensive,
as champions are wont to do these
days of dancing acts. Sarmiento
bores In from bell to bell. He
forces his opponent to mix ft with
him or back away. A champion
looks bad walking backwards.
Rosenberg is a
hard hitter but
not as much of
a ring general
or sharpshooter
as Trem a 1 n e.
The champ can
handle hard hit

his title by lick

Hut Sarmiento
also licked Mar-

cates that he can handle the slug

It's going to be a merry battle,
this Kosenberg-Sarmiento affair.
And Tremaine will be a spectator.

The trials were organized by the
