OREGON STAGES Troop Ont Newt Monday evening Troop One held its meeting at the iito of lta model camp. Wo spend most of the even ing working on the camp. Every one worked until it go too dark and the result was that It 'was nearly finished, the putting up of the tents and general cleaning up of the camp being the only things left undone; Later we held a short meeting and discussed the carnival and our duties of ticket taking. Nearly all scouts of this troop were present when it started to rain again we adjourned. We had a number of scouts at the Court of Honor, Friday evening and we are glad to say that they all passed. Russell Laughead re ceived his Eagle Badge and Scout master received his Five-year Vet eran's badge. There was an Eagle badge on band for Maynard Bell but it was necessary for- him to be absent so It was given to him later. Both Eagles are- happy now. liuuard MInturn, Troop Reporter. Troop Two News Guess the carnival has the best of the reporter this week or, if he has his news prepared he Is scared to come near the headquarters of fice he broke the key in the lock and the gang had to wait out in the rain until the Ex. chased home for another key. All the scouts from troop two who reported to tho Court of Hon or last Friday evening passed their tests. Harold Thomas, who was to have appeared for three Merit ( Badge tests and Daniel Barnett, for Second Class 'est did not show up. We will look for them next month. This troop is turning out for duty in the carnival with a will. All scouts say they "know their berries" and will "do their stuff." Fourth Troop Until such a time as a Scoutmas ter can be procured for this troop, which is sponsored by the Presby terian church,- the executive will help the boys out by instructing t hum nnil itrennrini? them tn heln ' out the scoutmaster when they do get one. There is plenty of room lor more boys in this troop. There is a splendid opportunity for boys to get in and make leaders of themselves in a short time. j To Second Class scouts of other j troops: If you enlist a boy and. train him as a tender foot, you will get credit for it in your First Class test regardless of what troop he may join. Here Is a chance for you to fill up Troop four. Yoncalla Troop News Our troop meeting was held last Saturday night al the home of our Scoutmaster, Dr. Durham. The meeting was called to order at seven o clock. Because of consider able sickness of members of this troop there were only eight pres ent. ' Throe of our number have passed the Tender! oot test and expect to be sporting the badges within a couple of days. These three will now give their attention toward getting all the other boys through the Tenderfoot as well as to pie pare for the Second Class test. All of our members have had the study of Our Flag and have been rehearsed on all the Tenderfoot knots. This Saturday evening we will take up the Oath and Scout Laws. During the meeting we played a few games and listened to a couple of stories by our Scoutmaster and adjourned. J. Robert Benton, Scribe.
