Last Thursday evening we hel.t a special meeting and had as vis itors several scouts of Hoseburg and the county executive, Mr. Hrlt Iton. who told us about the Scout nrogrum and about what we had to do In order to be real scouts. Two of the Hoseburg scouts also spoke to us briefly. Wo greatly appreci ated the presence of the entire group. Living Scouting Of course we are all trying to do a big bit for the Strawberry Carnival and we are Interested In iour troop's showing too. Some of us are going to do ticket taking for the carnival committee, some jare going to operate refreshment : stands, some will be on duty at various places and available for public service the greater part of the time. However, it must be re membered that no Scout is urged in any manner, to be on duty dur tng hours prohibited by his par ents nor Is he to neglect the school either. Hemember that you are a scout and honor bound to do the right thing and do It right. It Is true also that some of us are full of pep for Just such occa sions as this and as soon as they are over we are through until the next ntralr shows up. Well that Is not scouting a scout lives scouting ever yday. Our best scouts are not shouting from the house-tops telling of all their good the scouts successfully passing the tests. Scoutmusters' presence Is required.
