ViHibly impressed by the de termination of homesteaders In the Tule lake section, as well as the optimism of the settlers in the Merrill ami Malfn units of the Klamath Irrigation project. Secre tary of the Interior Hubert Work arrived back In Klamath Falls last niht from an extensive auto tour of the southern part of the coun ty. He was accompanied on hia trip by Reclamation Commission er F.lwood Mead and W. A. Delzell, h- cretary to Governor Walter .M. Pierce. This morning the secretary Is holding conferences with reclama tion officials over the problems which affect the reclamation pro jects in this part of the state. The party was scheduled to leave at 10:45 this .morning for Klamath agency where the secre tary and reclamation commission- will be guests of Superintend- cut Fred A. linker, of the Klam ath Indian reservation at lunch. Most of the afternoon will be devoted to an Inspection of the agency and other points of inter- '!t about the reservation. A col- iUiiui leuiurtr ui iiiw oiiriuuuu juu- 4 tram is a scheduled conference be tween Mr. Work and the tribal council of the Klamath Indians. This will probably be held under the fchade of the stately pines of Klamath agency. The visit of the cabinet officer and his aides will be brought to an official close at 7 o'clock tonight at a public banquet. Although Sec retary Work and Air. Mead are booked to make the only talks at the banquet, both officials have ex pressed a desire to listen to what ever complaints settlers and water users might wish to make, and the formal program planned by the Chamber of Commerce is expected to turn into a general round-table discussion of irrigation problems in the Klamath district. 3UNKIST ASPARAGUS f) k n FANCY CRAB MEAT, OQn TIPS, No. 1 tin 1 per tin - ZJU SELECTED STOCK BEETS, 1 I p RIPE MISSION OLIVES, 01.
