Hunini. and placed on djspluy at the Red Cross pharmacy. The Roseburg cljb won' the prize for attendance, having the largest percentage of its membership present, considering tile distance travelled. Tho prize was first awarded to Coos Hay, but an error in the calculation was dis covered, so that Roseburg was de cided to have had the best show ing, and the cup was presented to the local club. Crouch was charged with being the leader of the self-styled ring of cummunlsts and was charged with haWng issued propaganda under the pretext of being a teacher of Esper anto at army schools. The plot was nipped by the auth orities when Private Crouch open ly defended communism through a local newspaper. It Is reported that several others will be court martiuled on the same charge of which Crouch was found guilty yes terday. Three to seven friendless chil dren turned away a day.
