We wish to announce to the public that we are starting a
dairy which will be a
MODEL DAIRY
We are sparing no expense to make tbls the best equipped
dairy In DouKlas County. The most modern machinery known
to the dairy Industry is being Installed. The milk wljl be drawn
from the cows by a machine, carried to a clarlfler, then to a
cooler, from there to the bottling machine, where It Is capped
and placed In the refrigerating room for delivery. A steam
boiler will furnish the steam and hot water for cleaning and
sterilising.
The herd Is composed of good grade and registered Jersey
cows, everyone .tested and proven.
WE INVITE INSPECTION
The public Is Invited to visit this dairy at any time. We
will be glad to show and explain, in order to convince you of
the cleanliness of the milk, we are going to offer
$50.00 REWARD
(or any sediment found in our milk. We are booking orders
now to start April 1, which Is the opening date.

E. V. King, paid a fine of 25 In
the local Justice court yesterday,
following his arrest on a charge of
having a dead grouse In his posses
sion. Moving to Roseburg
Mr. and Mrs. Charles Watson,
who have been living on South
Myrtle, have sold their place to
Mr. Fancher, formerly of Califor
nia, and they will live in Rose
burg for tire present time. Mr.
Fancher is already in possession.
Former Theater Owners H
Messrs. McFarland and Harrell,
former owners of the Antlers and
Majestic theaters of this city, now
residents of Cottage Grove, were
visitors in Roseburg yesterday.
They were accompanied by their

construction work on the logging
road being built by the Cham

Fisherman Pays Fine
J. T. Ulack, who was recently ar
rested on a charge of fishing with
out a license, was arraigned yes
terday before Justice of the Peace

Captain O. P. Strickland, of the
financial campaign department in
the Salvation Army, who Is here
conducting a campaign In Douglas
county for the local post, left for
Portland on business this morn
