Wakefield t ad nun s compositions. The first episode entitled "The Uose of Love" portrays the dawn ing of civilization. "Attar of Ho ses" is the title of the second nunv ber, calling for a setting in a Per sian garden where beautiful maid ens distil the perfume of the rose. The next episode has to do with the first attempt to cultivate the wild rose, when the hundred leaf ed Rose of Greece was developed. A lovely Oreeclan setting called for with tnarvelous color and light effects. In another scene King Solomon ascends his throne amid pomp and ceremony, his thousand wives appear with dancing girls and attendants. The second half of the pageant deals with episodes wherein the roae has been Instru mental In affecting the history of the world. The War of the Roses," The Oregon Mission Rose" and "The Mary Washington Ruse" and finally the Court of the Queen of Her Majesty the Queen of Ho sarla are numbered among the lovely scenes of this part.
