The boy left borne because of a (lUagree- ment with his parents, but by the time he got to Hoseburg decided that home was the best place af ter all. Not having money ennuxh to buy a ticket home be decided to steal a car, and was trying to start Mr. Kasmusspn's car when he was apprehended. As the owner of the machine did not care to press the prosecution, the officers decided to givo the young man another chance. Senator Kendrlck testified that he transferred the request to the de partment of the Interior through his secretary, W. A. Anderson: that on April 10. three days after the lease was executed to the Mammoth company he obtained in formation from H.
