milking changes which will add to
the protection of the city of which
he Is the head official.
Glendale has a large hand-drawn
chemical engine, having two large
chemical tanks and a hose body,
and It is proposed by the council
to mount the tanks and equipment
on a motor chassis. Increasing the
sixe of the hose body, and making
a small combination engine. This
would be much faster than the
present apparatus, and would un
doubtedly be a valuable addition.
Mayor Hagen also investigated
th city's ladder equipment, and
special pleres of apparatus, with a
view of supplying some of the
needs of the Glendale department.
