The ordi nance carries an emergency clause so the rules were suspended and it was passed upon the third reading. Mrs. Good was good, both by name and nature and the passing of this noble pioneer lady Is evident that one by one our honored pioneers are passing on to the great un known. Mr. and Mrs. Woodruff were down from Woodpecker's Knob Sunday. Virgil says he can't sleep well unless he has about one quart of saw dust down the back of his neck nowadays. Grandma Churchill and daughter i Vinnie Emery, of Poison Oak I Point, wore guests at the Boss ; house Sunday. ! Many from here attended the ; state fair at Salem recently. They report the exhibits exceptionally good. We are pleased to chronicle the news that John Ison has purchased a tract of laud from John Doerner, and expects to establish his home thereon. Messrs.
