California, was badly wrecked late yesterday evening when the machine went off the road about a mile north of Myrtle Creek, and turned over after breaking off a telephone pole. The accident happened so quickly that no definite cause has been deter mined, but it Is believed that the steering apparatus gave way and turned tlie machine off the road. H went into a depression and then struck a telephone post which was snapped off. The car then turned over, wrecking the top. Fortun ately neither Mr. Brown nor any members of his family were hurt aside from a few minor cuts and bruises.
