French Transfer Com pany has Just completed and placed in use a huge furniture van, which is to be used for local work and long hauls. The body was designed by V. S. French and was constructed by employes of the company. It is planned with a view of obtaining the greatest utility, and can be used for a great number of purposes. When loaded with furniture the van has heavy pads which line the in terior to prevent marring or scratch ing the contents. It has side doors for loading from freight cars or buildings where backing up to the entrance is not practical. This aiding material is of waterproof construc tion and Hie entire frSlne hug been built to withstand heavy wear and usage, the construction being of a durable type.
