Satisfaction i Guaranteed Council to Make Effort to Do Away With Ruts Near the Sidewalks , in Business District Protecting the edges of the pavfr ment in the business district with con crete aprons Jutting out from the sidewalks is a plan proposed by the city council to prevent the streets In the business district from becoming any more rutted than at present! The pavements are in bad condition along the curbs. Automobiles standing parked have cut deep boles in the sur face, and these hold water and dirst making a very unsightly appearance. It has been' proposed that a layer of concrete be laid over the pavement to prevent any further cutting and to provide a better drain along the curbs. The street committee was Instructed to investigate the proposition and re port at the next regular meeting of the council.
