Anders Theatre A iihotuuluy bused on the luy which a lew yearH ago wan one ol the hits of llroudway la "Success," scheduled for nresc illation tonight at thn Antlers Theatre, Willi Ilrun dull Tynan, tho Hafn star. In tlie role whlth he originally created In the spoken play. The dramatic In terest In the story and the excel lence of the cast which interprets the vurous roles should make the presentation a distinct hit. "Success" is a story of the theatre, but unlike many or the type, thin Is said to hnve been written by per sons familiar with the Intimate de tails of hie behind the footlights. Its authors have managed to cap lure the spirit and atmosphere of the nlnyhousc, and the character which they have Introduced are all faithful actual types. In nildilion to Mr. Tynan, the cast includes the delightful screen uc trens, Mary Aalor, ns the talented daughter; Naomi (Jiilih rs as her mother; and horn Davidson, Lionel Adams, I'.itinley ItlilKes, liobort Lee Keliing. Hilly Quirk and others. I'llAITKIl Jj.YX.XIII A little way down the road Hess and Ann passed Hugh and Nora. "Kngine trouble," Hugh called. Hers stopped, ordered Nora to get In with them, and they went on. Hess stopped the car a little drV ta'nce from the ranch, Ann got out. "1 11 reconnoitre, Ann. It may be best for them not to see you at first. They won't mind Nora." Ann at first ohJi-ctt.il, but finally conceded that perhaps Ileus wuh right. "Hut hurry, Hess. I shall go mad waiting. Oh, I must find Jack!" "We'll find him, and I'll be back to you in a Jiffy, whether lie is thero or not." Hess drove Into the yard. Dick sat, the picture of forlorn mascu linity, on the porch. Where's (I race?" Hess asked, mo tioning to Nora to sit still. "Cone Where's Ann? I've been telephoning hut can't get her." "Where has (iraee Rone?" Hessle aukd. hiding a smile. Mo he had telephoned lor Ann. "Over to your ranch, I suppose. I sent her olf in the flivver. Told her I'd come for It later." "Mav I u.sk what you wanted of Ann, Hick?" "1 wanted her to come home, of course," . Dick replied sheepishly. "This Joke has gone far enough." "Has (iiace gone for good?" "Yes," shortly. "Now Where's Ann?" Without a word Hersle turned her car and sped down the road. "Jffmp in, Ann." she said. "Is Jack there?" Ann asked, as sho olieye:!. "Never mind Jack non. Ann. Dick wants you. He " "He ir.n't sick d'-ad?" ".Mercy, no! lie's only repent ant. Don't talk to me, just wait." Hack they hurried. Dirk still sat In the same hopeti-ss position. "Here's Ann, Dick. You can tell her what you want," llessie said. Then whispered to Ann: "Grace has gone. I think he sent her away. (Jet out snd talk to him. I'll follow in a moment and we'll find out uhout Jack." "Well. Dick?" Ann said in a voice as she stood beside him. had not stirred, "Are you cotuiiu; back, Ann?' asked. "HaH that girl gone? (ione low He he for good?" Ann returned. "Yes. I hope you're satisfied now." Ann felt like laughing. The an swer was so like Dick. Ha hadn't said ho waa sorry, hadn't acknowl edged he was In any way to blame. He had done what she demanded. That was all. Hut for the present that was enough. "Dick. Grace has taken Jackie," Ann said, then motioned to Hess. She und Nora came up on tho porch. "What?" Dick was at once galvan ized into action. "She's taken Jackie. He was playlne; In the yard, and sho grabbed him before anyone' could get to him. put him into the machine and went off. Doctor Grayson was away, so I could do nothing until Hess came." "Damn her!" Dick said In a hoarse voice. Then: "She's taken III in home with her to get even with me." "Kor what?" Ann asked. "Kor telling her to go. We quar reled. It doesn't make any differ ence what about. Anyway she's gone. Nora you stny her" , iu cse she brings him back. Get In, Ann and Hess, we'll K alter her." Dick sent the car along before they were scarcely in It, and tore down tho road. There was no sign cf Hugh, und Ann wondered if he loo had gone to Ned's ranch. They didn't tain, but Hessle en couraged Ann that all would be well by her cheerful face, and an occas ional reassuring touch on the arm. Hut arrived at the ranch they found no one but the China boy, and he had se-n nothing of Grace. It was now nearly three hours since the had taken Jack. Where could she be? She wasn't Intimate enough with any of the ranchers to take him to them neither would she dare. All those she knew, knew Jack and knew whose child he was. Kven Hessie could no longer conceal her anxiety, although she kept Insisting no harm would come to the boy. Ann war not so sure. Grace hated her, would slop at nothing to hurt her; end now she was angry at Dick. In reply to Hessle's questions It was plain that they had had a serious quarrel, that Dick had com pelled her to leave the ranch, had told her ho was going to ask Ann to return.
