SCOtT KEWS.
Here are a few lines of what Troop
one in Scoutdom did tlilB week at
their regular meeting last Monday
evening. About fifty boys reponea
for the "feed" and at 7 ociock i roop
one was called to order. This meet
ing nroved to be one of the largest
and most exciting held by Troop one.
For the first time we had a tun
troop meeting numbering 32 boys
present, which number constitutes a
full Scout troop.
The meeting opened wirn roll can.
followed by a playlette given by the
Bear Patrol. The scene was laid in
Mexico and the characters appeared
In full Mexican costume, and the per
formance was well given by tne Doys
of this patrol. Rusty Irwin also fur
nished us with a chalk talk which
contained some very clever cartoons.
Thn Scoutmaster tnen siarieu
something by making mention of a
nmnipr ranin. An argument was
then In full swing between two fac
tions nnn wanting a trio to the coast
and the others wanted a "regular
camp" In or about Cow creeek can-
vnn. A vote will lateen ana me
creek canyon site won by about three
ti one. It was also nolicea mai
nliont 20 Troon one boys are plan
ning and hoping to attend the Scout
annimer camo. Every boy attending
this camp from Troop one mnt nave
n9.urf hia tenderfoot tests. The boys
also decided that the regulation uni
form for the summer would be wiin
out coats, and as fall arrived they
ill add the coat to the uniform.
- About eight of the boys will take
their pacing test this week, that of
traveling a mile in twelve iiiin..-.
Our next meeting will be Monnay.
March 14. at 7 p. m. sharp, at tne
armory. All Troop one men are re
quested to be present and any other
lads who are desirous of becoming
Scouts. Everybody welcome.
