Former Residents
Will be Married

Karlcourt Stewart, a former res!
dent of thlg cy, arrived here on
Christmas day from Washington, D.
C. where ho resides. This Is Mr.
.Stewart's first visit, to Uoseburg since
the war. Ho enlisted as an aviator,
and according to government reports
he was one of the best In the ser
vice. Since tho armistice, he has been
located at Washington. 1). C. Ho will
visit here with his parents for sev
eral days before returning east.

White, both residents of Drain, were
married today at noon, the ceremony
being performed by Hev. K. V. War
rington, pastor of the Presbyterian
church at the Presbyterian manse.
Only immediate relatives of the con
tracting parties were present. The
bride is (be county president of the
Christian Kndeavor County Union.
They will make their home at Drain.

Forest Supervisor W. F. Ramsdell
states that he Is receiving many
communications from people inter
ested in the Diamond Lake country.
Ho states that a great many people
desire to make summer homes there,
but the forest service can not give
permission until the question of
whether or not the Lake district Is to
be made a part of the Crater Lake
park. If it is made a part of the Park
then the forest service will have no
jurisdiction and no homes will be al
lowed, but if it remains In the Na
tional forest, the forest service will
be able to allow homeslte9 to be al
lowed built at the lake.
