Most of our friends are of course aware of the fact that we are compelled to vacate the store that has become the popu lar trading place for thousands of Douglas coumy residents, and for tho next DO days we shall be sorely taxed to take care of the wants of our cus tomers. We are making this public appeal for your kind forbear ance and patience. We Ehall do the best we can. but If the Inconveniences stand out conspicuously, don't desert us on that account. The owners of the building promise us a splendid store, which we shall endeavor to make the greatest mercantile establishment In Douglns coun ty. In past seasons there has been many instances of people capturing young fawns ar.d then asking per. mission from the department to hold and rear them. Two such instances have occurred so tar this season. It is tile concensus of opinion that tho mother deer knows where her young ones are at all Uuies and that if the fawns are unmolested the mother will find and provide for them. This will conserve the deer, which aro tho properly of tho state. Therefore, except in instances where the mother is known to be dead no permission will be granted by this department to hold deer taken during the closed season and the law which covers the taking of deer during closed season will bo en forced. It is desired that this matter be given due publicity In order to fa eilitate the protection of our deer. A. E. BURGHDUFF, ' State Game Warden. ? ? F. T. D. THE FEP.N" F. T. D. ? ? GAME TONIGHT.
