The Pickwick auto stage from San Francisco to Portland passed thru P.08eburg this afternoon on the way to Eugene, where the stop is made for the night. MOKE t'ASOUNE 11 El The second carload of gasoline to lie brought In by the Douglas coun ty dealers, arrived yesterday and was distributed to the local filling stations. The gasoline arrived Just In time to precent a shortage nnd there nre now no restrictions on the amount obtainable. On account of 'he high cost of transportation, which amounts to almost 10 cents on each gallon, the dealers n,re forced to sell gasoline at 35 cents. The price is being kept as low as Lee Love, North Umpqua stock man, will go over to the coast In a few days, trusting to benefit his health.
