Dr. Ilouck is an army physician and had been stationed on tho Mexican border for several months. In a re- cent letter he said tho weather was very changeable there and there was considerable sickness among the cavalrymen under his charge. Charles Stacey Ktnlor, fit years ot ige, a former slock raiser of Grants Pass, but recently a resident of Port land, has disappeared and every ef- fort is being made to learn his where abouts by his son. Clifford Ktnier, ol San Francisco, says the Oregonian. it is feared that he may have mel with foul play. Mr. Ktnier sold li it stock at Grants Pass the first of the year and came to Portland, accord ing to his son. lie stayed for a time at the Y. M. C. A. and was employed by Olds. Wormian &.
