ROSEBURG MAN AMONG HIGHEST SCORERS AT THE CLACKAMAS SHOOT Sergeant C. A. Myers, of the Mar ine Corps of the Oregon Naval Mili tia, and Sergeant lloderick S. J. Hamilton, of the Fourth Company, Coast Artillery Corps, are the cham pion individual shots of the Oregon state troops, says the Oregonian. The two men tied for first place in the individual shooting match staged yesterday as a part of the annual stale shoot now on at Clackamas, each making a score of 19 S out of a possible 250. Second place was captured by Captain William J. Williams, of the staff team of the Coast Artillery Corps, with a score of 195. Three men tied for third place, each" jnaking a score of 192. They are Sergeant A. J. Logeristium, of the Eleventh Company, Coast Artil lery; Sergeant Lee A. Porter, of the First Company, Coast Artillery, and Private Gafla f Morback, of the Eleventh Company, Coast Artillery. Fifty shots were fired by each competitor. Of these ten shots rapid lire were taken at 2(10 yards, 20 shots slow-fire at 600 yards, and 2ft shots slow-fire at 1000 yards. The results of the shoot yesterday will be permanent, as the ties must be settled. The record made by the Eleventh Company, Coast Artillery, which has two men tied for third place, is con sidered particularly good for an or ganization which has been in exist ence only six weeks.
