Nor Is it n hard plant to grow. It Is one of the hurdlest of the leguminous plants. It seems to establish itself on old. wornont soils where other legumes will not grow at nil and where field crops grow so poorly ns not to pay. Owing to these characteristics and to the fact that Its bacteria are capable of living and prospering on the routs of alfftlfa.
