B. Whitney's residence property on the north side of town, closed a deal Tuesday for several lots belonging to C. H. Boyle and Mrs. Eva Reed, on Umpqua street, on which he will es tablish a large lumber yard at once. Miss R. Rogers, of Manitoba, who has been on the high school staff of the Winnipeg schools for 20 years, is in Sutherlln for a few days, a guest at the home of her brother, R. W. Rodgers. H. A. Tibbies, of Cottage Grove, has been assigned to Sutherlln as depot agent for the Southern Pacific Company and is expected here within a few days with bis family. Robert Kromm, who has been the agent here for several months, will go to Port land to take an examination for a position at some other point In the company's service.. - L. M.
