Janns Lnldlaw, the British Consul, has re ceived a handsome binocular glass to be nresented to Captain A. U. Morris. now a resident of Sutherlin. Or., but formerly master of the British steam ship Tocantinls. In recognition of his bravery the gluss was awarded by President Taft under the follow ing circumstance: April 29, l09, the Toncantinls, In command of Captain Morris, was re turning from Brazil to New York.
