The main feature of the treat ment, itbe success of which has been fully demonstrated. It is declared in Honolulu, Is the use of carbon dloiide yellow l(!rfrcam. formed by compress, snow. Discovery is Related. , j Telling of his discovery a Honolulu dally newspaper says: "On January 21, 1910, Charles F , Are ana a half years old, was there will have been a sulllclent num ber of cases officially declared cured to have leprosy removed from the list or Incurable diseases. Tuberculin Injections liiven. "The little boy haB leprous lesions on his face, arms and legs, and bacilli taken to the Kallhi receiving station, were found plentiful in each lelsoii, officially declared a leper. 'Doctor Wayson began systematic treatment on May 20. using chaul uioogru oil, cllsiti phosphate of Iron, quinine and strychnine inierualiy and locally applying 'carbon dioxide snow.' The freezing and thawing pro cess was kept up intermittently unt'l December last, when tt was put to a test. Snips were taken from the mar gin of the old leprosy lesion on the check and examiued for bacilli. A few wete found showing that the treatment had so fur failed. Again the flesh was froseu. this lime the lesion and half an Inch of flesh' all around being treated, the whole 1 1 lesions being gone over. Ou January 27 another bacteriological test was made, each lesion being snipped from. On acid test bacillus was found, only one where theretofore there had been hundreds, and this lone bacillus was not definitely dis tinguished as a leprosy bacillus. Third Test is Made. "On March 17 laBt Dr. Wayson and Bacteriologist Kelnecke made their third test. Snips were taken from each lesion, or where the lesions had been, from the centers, the margins and the healtby flesh without. Not an acid fast bacillus was found in any of the lesions. The boy was free from leprosy. "Other lepers have been freed as 'arrested cases, others have been Bet free as no longer dangerous to the health of the community and to ull intents and purposes free .from the disease, but for the first time In hiBtory of the disease a proven leper has been cured and his cure demon strated beyond possibility of contra diction or doubt." FOR SCROFULA NATURE'S PERFECT CURE Swollen glands about the neck, weak eyes, running sores and abscesses, pale, waxy complexions and frail, poorly developed systems, are the most usual ways in which Scrofula is manifested. In some cases the blood is so filled with the scrofulous germs that from birth the disease shows its presence. In other cases it is held in check during young, vigorous life, but when the system begins to weaken, especially after a spell of sickness, the disease will often manifest itself in some form. S. S. S. is Nature's perfect cure for Scrofula, made entirely of healthful roots, herbs and barks, a perfectly safe medicine for young or old. 5. 5. S. goes into the circulation, and drives out all scrofulous matter,, and supplies the blood with the healthful, vigorous qualities it" is in need of. In this way it builds up weak, delicate persons and makes them strong and healthy. S.S.S. cures Scrofula because it is the most perfect of all blood purifiers. Book on the Blood and medical advice free. S.S.S. is for sale at drugstores. THE SWIFT SPECIFIC CO. ATLANTA, GA.
