Albany Herald: Fred Carlyle, who successfully staged the extrava ganza, "The Military Girl." a few months ago. has returned from the University of California where he has been operatic and dramatic coach. Mr. Harli gun Is the author of several musical productions, his Inst effort being 'The Chasers," which was produced last Monday in the Greek Theatre of the University before the largest i-audience which has ever assembled to hear a musical comedy. Mr. Car lyle had entire charge of this pro duction and the splendid work of the choruses was the sensation of the evening. Mr. Carlyle will pro duce, in the near future, the farce comedy "His Excellency the Gover nor," for the senior clnss of the high school. Following this, "The Mika do," Gilbert and Sullivan's delightful opera, will be staged for the benefit of the school library. Mrs. P. R.
