Three more road diBtrlcts have
been heard from by the county court
relative to the matter of voting a
special tax. Gunter voted 2 mills,
Glendale 2Vs mills, while Glide
turned down the proposition. Oak
Creek Is now the only district left to
report out. of a total of 27 districts
which presented special road tax reso
lutions to the couny court. Glide and
Myrtle Creek are the only two out
of 26 districts which refused to vote
a special tax.

pleted today whereby F. L. Cham
bers sold the corner lot at Sixth and
Willamette Streets to Hampton
Bros., the dry good merchants, for
$18,000. The lot faces on Willam
ette street, 75 feet, and extends back
to the alley, a distance of 160 feet.
The sale was engineered by E. J.
Frazler, the real estate dealer.
Hampton Bros, announce that they
will erect a handsome three or four
story brick and stone building cover
tho entire lot, and will occupy every
