no man returneth. Therefore, If per
mission can be secured and John
doesn't get a stay, they will try to
resuscitate him after he has been
duly executed.

election today by tho largest majority
In the history of popular votes on
the subject In municipal campaigns,
the dry s leadiug the wets by about
150 votes out of a total of 836.

ed over C. W. Root. State Senator
L. h. Mullt and ex-State Senator E
V. Carter, both of whom are bank
ers, were defeated for councllmen In
the second and third wards by Wil
liam Myer and F. W. Moore, respect
ively, and- R. P. Nell went down to
defeat for councilman from the first
ward before the present mayor, YV.
