NEW BOARDING HOUSE.
Mrs. L. B. Kingman, recently

The house is new and modern and
will be newly furnished. Electric
lights, bath and phone. No small

boarding house for a limited number
of boarders who appreciate first class
cooking and service. The house will

DRAIN, Or., Nov. 19. As an evi
dence of the early resumption of
work on the Oregon Western, com
monly known as the Coos Bay branch
of the Southern Pacific, from thin
plce to Marabfleld, construction of
which was begun two years ago, and
ou wulcli work was stopped about 10
months ago, coincident with that of
nearly all similar enterprises through
out the country, the engineer in
uharge here has ordered that a force
of 30 or 40 men bo put to work on
the public road at places where it Is
uecessary to make new road In lieu
of that taken by the railroad right-of-way.
It is believed here that con
struction work on the railroad branch
will begin early next year.
