Oregon tltmber lands are again In
demand, after a year of quiet. The
lumber business will doubtless soon
be active again.
Only a few days more until the
turkey growers market their annual
Thanksgiving crop, and, as usual, It
promises to bo a good one In Doughuj
county, witn romunerativo prices.
It waB Friday, the l:uh, for Mr
Henoy? and his would-be assassin
will doubtless have to nay tho nil
penalty of tho law, If he manages to
escape quicker punishment at the
hands of an outraged community.
Whether or no Abe Kuof had any
Intimation or knowledge of any plot
to assassinate Mr. Honey, his own
prosecution will be no less lenient
on account of .tt. Thut ho Is fully
aware of this Is shown by the fact
that he-was glad to spend the night
In Jail to avoid possible violence.
