NEW HOARDING HOUSE.
Mrs. h, B. Kingman, recently
from Seattle, and a lady of much ex
perience will, on Nov. 1st, open a
strictly first class boarding house on
the corner of Mill and Floed streets.
The house is new and modern and
will be newly furnished. Electric
lights, bath and phone. No small
children taken. A nice home-like
boarding house for a limited number
of boarders who appreciate first class
cooking and service. The house will
be furnished and ready for reserva
tions by Wednesday, Oct. 28. Two
blocks south of the Dyslnger mill.

Over 100 members of his congre
gation tendered Kov, K. II. Hicks a
very pleasant birthday surprise at
the conclusion of prayer meeting at
the Baptist church last Wednesday
evening. In buhnlf of the members
present. Brother O. P. Coshow pre
sented Rev. Hicks with a handsome
rocking chair, a purse of money, sev
eral pieces of chinaware and a num
ber of other articles. A social hour
followed, during which the assemb
lage repaired to the basement of
the church and sat down at a group
of tables laden with Innumerable
good things to eat. The party broke
up about 10:110 and upon departing
the members. wished Rev. Hicks hap
py birthdays for years to come.
