General Crawford held today that saloon property, the stock of goods, cannot be sold by the authorities on an execution or oilier order of the court to satisfy a debt in a county that has gone dry under the local op tion law. This applies in all coun ties whore the county Is dry, because the county courthouse is where al' such sales properly take place. A trustee In bankruptcy, according to this opinion, Is helpless. No per son can slozo tho stock in nn nctlon to forecloso a chattel mortgage. In counties only pnrtinlly dry, tho at torney goncrnl says, such sales can take plnco If tho county seat Is not dry, even If the stock Is in a dry district. ' NOTES !' l.VTEIIEST.
