WHklns left this after noon for Junction City where she will spend a week or ten days with her sister. Mrs. R. Anlauf, who hat been visiting with Mrs. Anna Hughes, of this city, returned home to Anlauf this afternoon. Mrs. C. G, Williams, of Portland who baa been visiting in California for a few weeks slopped In this city today for a visit with her cousin Mrs. George Riter. Fire that broke out in the prune dryer on the Newber grauch of H. S. Gile & Co. Tuesday was stopped by the quick application of water from a handy barrel. The fruit in two of the tunnels was scorched, but little damage done to the dryer. Salem Statesman.
