S. L. Wood arrived in Sutherlin the first of the week from Northfleld, Minn., where Mrs. Wood and Mr. and Mrs. Charles G. Glen are now lo cated. Mr. Wood gave a most In teresting account of the automobile' trip made by himself and Mrs. Wood and Mr, and Mrs. Glen from Slither-! tin to Boston and Cambridge, Mass.,, and other points east. He states they traveled over twelve thousand j miles in their automobile, and the' bad roads in various parts of thei country was the cause of their pay-! Ing large sums, for tires. He says! the worst roads In the country are not In Douglas county. That worse roads are found Jn other parts of Ore- gon, also In Nebraska and Wisconsin. !
