Mrs. Harry Wood, who recently came to thlB city to purchase some land returned to her home in Port land this afternoon after buying a ten acre tract near this city, G. W. Sloper, whose hands were badly burned In the fire that destroy ed his place of business recently, has secured the services of a Port land cleaner and presser until such time as the former's Injuries improve sumcintly to carry on tils work. For the present, or until Mr. Sloper gets a central location, he will conduct his business at his residence, 215 North Main street. Sheuy has leased her city property to Mr. Burnell, and after July 1 will be found at her fine orchard tract In Garden Valley superintending the work of improve ment that she will undertake there. G. W. Bales was on the street this nfternoon for the first time in four weeks, he having had a severe selge of lung fever. Hosts of friends hope thore will be no recurrence of the malady, but that Mr. Bales, will soon be his usual self again. Early this afternoon at their fu ture home on Pine street Miss Madia Gallup, of Riddle became the bride of R. A. Redlfer, also of Riddle. The ceremony was performed by Rev. D. Loree. .Miss Gallup is the daugh ter of of Mr. and Mrs. Gallup, of Riddle. She has lived In this county some time and has manv friends, both In this city and In Riddle.
