Cliurcli Prospers I'tidcr Leadership of lU'V. a. A. Douglas. Albany Democrat: Today completes the sixth year of the pastorate of the Hev. S. A. Douglas at tbls place. He preached his first sermon as pas tor of the BaptlBt church, June 12 1904. The membership of the church then numbered 154. Since that date be has welcomed into the fellowship of the churob 240 members. Of these 118 have been received and baptised on profession of faith, 90 on letters from other Baptist churches . and 32 on relation of their christian experience. During the time letters of dismission have been granted to 88, to unite with other BaptlBt churches and 12 have died, leaving a net increase in membership of 140 thus almost doubling the member ship. His pastorate has also marked the erection of the present fine church building which enables the members to handle the increased work of the church to such better advantage. The Baptist church was organized with 10 members in 1RK7, Bnd from Its organization until 1904 there had been welcomed into the church 698, , 654 of whom had removed to other fileds or dropped out from one cause or another. The work has taken on immense strides during the past six -years, with bright prospects ahead for the next six years. Dissolution Notice. Company Is having their right of way fenced with woven wire fencing at this point, quite an Im provement. Miss McCracken closed a short summer school Friday.
