berries and grapes to their
landscape, I think this will be
a beneficial and interesting
class.”

by Mid-Columbia Health
Foundation (MCHF) in
January.
The company has been a
strong supporter of Columbia
River Gorge communities
for over 40 years. “This is a

applauds employees who vol-
unteer, encourages employees
to give financially, and sup-
ports community programs
and projects with donations
and volunteering,” said MCHF
Board Chair Kristi Timmons.
As a local business they are
committed to a wide variety of
projects, dedicating their time
and talent volunteering for the
local Dance Club Academy
and leading 4H groups, as
well as heavily supporting
the Wasco County Fair and
Rodeo, Home At Last and
Dufur School, just to name a
few of the organizations and
events with which they have
been involved, Timmons said.
As the leader in local on-
site and internet auctions,

many local fundraisers as
auctioneers, including the

& Auction, the Mid-Columbia
Health Foundation Festival

Community members interested in learning more about gar-
den-related topics are invited to attend six classes that are a part
of the 2020 Oregon State University Extension Service Central
Gorge Master Gardener training program.
All classes are held at the Hood River Valley Christian Church,
975 Indian Creek Road, Hood River, and are taught by Oregon State
University instructors. These classes were selected to be open to
the community since Master Gardeners receive many questions on
these topics at plant clinics during the growing season. To continue
the Oregon State University Extension Service Master Gardener
mission of sustainable gardening education for the community,
these classes will be open to all. If you wish to participate in a class,
just show up and pay the $10 drop-in fee. Cash and checks only.
Coffee, tea and conversation with other gardeners happens before
the class and at break.

MCHF Women’s Giving Circle,
and quietly supports hun-
dreds of projects in the Gorge,
Timmons said. “She is always
willing to give her time as a
volunteer and advocate for
those in need,” said Timmons.

Development Commissioner,
on the Columbia Gorge
Community College
Foundation board, the Mid-
Columbia Medical Center
board of trustees and on the
