Although the last day for the filing of petitions was a legal holiday the office of the secretary of state re mained open to receive petitions. The seven local measures which will go on the ballot in the respective electoral districts which are affected include three measures for single tax, as provided for under the county tax amendment of 1910. The 38 measures which will go on the ballot all over the state of Oregon are varied in many details.
