National Honor Society is available>here to those students who most e ffe c tiv e ly combine th e ir a b ilit ie s w ith the educational opportun ities Chemawa o ffe rs . Students are selected upon s a tis fy in g s p e c ific requirements designated in the Chapter C onstitu tio n . These include excellencies in Character, Scholarship, Leadership, and Service. The re quirement in Scholarship is met by m aintaining a 3,0 Grade Point Average through grades 10, 11, and 12. The National Honor Society, in existence fo r 60 years, is an in s titu tio n known and respected among educators throughout the world. It s pur pose is to acknowledge, nu rtu re , and honor those high school students who, by th e ir continuing committment, give promise o f fu tu re outstanding achievement. Membership in the National Honor Society is an important and happy m ilestone fo r those who are thus honored.
