The stu dents who work in the bank are picked from the bookkeeping classes. The bookkeeping teacher asks for volun teers from her class and students who sign up are screened by the teachers before they are scheduled to work. At the beginning of the school year, the student council purchased two commercial teller machines and a new accounting machine for the student bank. These three pieces of equip ment will give us the opportunity to train student tellers in a way similar to the training they would receive in a commercial bank. The equipment will also enable the bank to do twice the volume of business that it did two years ago.
